Now I would like to share some sites with you, these are some I follow on a daily basis, and I use Google Reader for it. And if you have not looked at Google Reader or another RSS reader, you should definitely look at it. For it is an incredibly easy way to keep track of your favorite photographers websites.

This is a list I have previously written in English, but since I am by translating every post to the Danish list seems just one more time. Simultaneously there will be soon a list of the new blogs I follow.

My favorite photography websites (Said with a deep male voice):

  • Strobist.com (strobist.blogspot.com)
David Hobby has a phenomenal website Strobister, I discovered his site for about 3 years ago and quickly became fascinated with the details of what he writes. He has a fun and informative angle on what he writes. Come and be inspired or read his STROBIST STROBIST 101 or 102, where he examines techniques you can use.
  • Fotograftips.dk
Nicolai Brix is a professional photographer who is based in Funen, I found his blog for a half year time ago. And the cool thing about his blog is that he writes every day, explains his techniques and how a professional photographer actually works. He also do some video with his message, great to see how he works.
I've actually been on one of his workshops, they can definitely recommended and since I wrote my original post in English, he has become Nikon Ambassadors and must teach in Nikon's CLS system.
  • Lighting Essentials
Don Giannatti uses light just like David Hobby in his Lighting Essentials workshops, and he also makes some Tech Sheets where he describes various ways to take a picture.
  • Ken Rockwell
Ken has a lot of tips on photography and equipment, he makes even his own manuals for Nikon cameras. Some claim he is influenced by Nikon, and I do not agree with everything he writes. But I like his style, and read his regular speech. He will also have some absolutely incredible colors rather than in his pictures, and so he takes the only images in JPEG, unlike me who only takes pictures in RAW.
  • Earthbound Light
Bob Johnson wrote a bit about this and that, but I will return to his blog whenever he writes something new. The layout is simplet and FrontPage-like, but the content is super, see his huge archive of tips .
  • Fashion Photography Blog
Melissa Rodwell actually found me on flickr first, and I added her as a friend immediately, she writes about fashion photography, but also about how to implement a photoshoot. She also produces videos for some of his blog posts.
  • Digital Photography School
Darren Rowse has this blog, and there are lots of good tips for taking photos, topics for photo trips to delve into and to post-process the images after being taken. Come and be inspired.

These are just some of the blogs I follow, some are more equipment-oriented and contains good exercises to get better, for example. Adobe Photoshop.

Why have I started this blog?

I started this blog as my personal portfolio http://www.photofolio.dk/ but I felt that by showing pictures, it was not possible for me to talk about techniques and other places online where I get inspiration. So I added this / blog to my portfolio, and uses it to showcase some of my techniques, my tips and my favorite photographers on other sites.

"My views, digital editing and inspiration for photos."

Like in my tagline, these my views on software and hardware, there are many techniques to produce the right image, and there are even more cameras and software to do it. But this blog is not intended to be a religious talk about Nikon vs. Canon, Mac vs. PC and Digital vs. Analog.

I currently use a Nikon D70 Nikon D700, I also own an old analog Canon EOS650. But I decided to switch to Nikon, because I still had to upgrade to digital SLRs.
