Today Nikon released a new firmware upgrade for the Nikon D700.
Here are the changes made:

Auto white balance performance has been improved.
Support for 64 GB memory cards has been added.
When ISO sensitivity settings>ISO sensitivity auto control in the shooting menu is set to On, the Maximum sensitivity option can now be specified in steps of 1/3 [...]
